"Healing is not a science, but the intuitive art of wooing nature." W.H. Auden

Massage Therapy and many different forms of Bodywork have become a passion of mine. When you find what "works," you stick to it, and that is exactly what I have done on my own healing journey. Massage Therapy and many different forms of Bodywork have become a passion of mine. When you find what "works," you stick to it, and that is exactly what I have done on my own healing journey. My personal experiences have lead me to have a deeper understanding of what others might be experiencing, and it is always my goal to give clients the treatment that I would like to receive.
My intention as a Massage Therapist is to unlock the bodies potential to heal, grow, change, and even teach. I work to combine my scientific knowledge of the human form with artistic intuition to "woo nature" into creating whatever change is needed in each client.
I utilize a variety of techniques and combine them to create a specific treatment for each individual. I enjoy giving an indulgent, restorative Swedish Massage just as much as doing a therapeutic deep tissue massage for pain conditions. I utilize Craniosacral Therapy as whole session, or integrated with other work. While I love working with all types of clients with a variety of needs, my passion is working with mama's and children. My own experiences in having my children opened my eyes to the need for practitioners with skills to specifically support pregnancy, birth, postpartum, infants and children.
After pursuing my passion for the human body and movement for over a decade through dance, I had to find a way to bring others into their bodies, without the ballet shoes. Dance taught me what it meant to turn off my over-active mind, and think with my body- to organize myself in a different way, with limbs and music and people all flying through space in a chaotic beauty. Though I didn't yet know how, I longed to share this knowledge. My own journey through injuries, over-use conditions, scoliosis and childbirth has lead me to pursue bodywork for healing, and a better understanding of the body, health, and the importance of movement. I found the depth of bodywork to be endless, the results addicting, and the exploration of the human body mind-blowing. After completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance and Arts Administration from the University of Oregon, I continued my education at the Sage School of Massage in Bend a few years later. I have since extending my education in this area with Leslie Stager of "Mother Touch," in her advanced trainings in Bodywork for Women's Health, and with Carol Gray at the Carol Gray Center for CST Studies. You can find my practice at Bodywork Of Bend, in Bend Oregon. When I am not a Massage Therapist I am enjoying life in Central Oregon with my husband, baby boy, and Goldendoodle.
