Using the body in every environment
As listed elsewhere, I specialize in troubleshooting issues in the body. I utilize CranioSacral Therapy/SomatoEmotional Release taught through the Upledger Institute based in Florida. Youthaage is the other therapy that I heavily rely on. Swedish, Deep Tissue, and other therapies I utilize where needed. The body is very good at communicating what it needs to function better. My goal is always to make your future days feel better. Here is life experience. I want you to see that I have experienced what the toll activities take on the body, and the understanding that life has physical requirements. My job is to help you be able to do these activities better, longer, happier, and feel like enjoying home life after instead of tending to the aches and pains. We all live in a body, being able to do what you want to do after all the requirements makes living in that body a whole lot more fun! Living in a human body takes a toll after several years, and can be influenced by the type of activity that is required over and over, day after day, year after year. United States Marine Corps... Working with the military entailed a high physical demand including firing weaponry, long hours with desk work, and having to stand at attention with whatever was handed to me immediately! Motherhood... that is a task of continual giving, over and over, sometimes with minimal sleep yet still requiring an active intelligence to achieve raising great human beings who will have no recollection of those early years of nonstop work. If on top of that your child is special needs or sleeps little, it's a whole different ball game. Parents need their A-game especially when helping a young one adapt themselves to living in a body that isn't working like everyone else's. Corporate....50 and 60 hour weeks 5 - 7 days a week sitting at a desk either doing computer work or continually being on the phone to verify information, negotiate, or overnight checks. The benefits are great with medical and dental, the retirement package grows continually, but without bodywork the retirement finds the body not wanting to move or do as much! There have been many other adventures including long distance running, hiking, ect. The point of all this is I want you to understand whatever shape you come to Align Bodyworks in, I understand that you want to be able to do better with your body.
