Very personable, kind, interesting and professional

Unfortunately my first experience was very disappointing. I specifically stated I did not want to talk during my appointment, as it distracts from the mindfulness and relaxation I was craving; Ruth conversed the entirety of the hour. When I would bring up problem spots on my body to shift the focus back to the massage, she would simply jump back to her story. I was unable to relax with her questions and stories. I felt her professionalism wasn't the best as she laid the oil bottle on the table between my legs and wasn't very slow/deliberate/thoughtful with her motions, quickly turning my head or pausing at odd times to finish a story. It wasn't relaxing at all which was very frustrating considering how much I spent on the session.

I would have like to been asked it I am a "talker." Because mostly I'm not. When I need a massage it's usually because I'm desperate for it. I need peace and quiet and no talking. Not everyone is that way, so I get it that I am the weirdo. She's not. Also, it was of ZERO fault of Solace, but I was in the room that was on the outside wall on probably the coldest day of the year. . . it was chilly and initially her hands were cold, but honestly, it most likely could not have been helped. Lastly, I was never asked what level of pressure I was most comfortable with. I like more of a "strong" touch, Ruth has a gentle touch which is most likely the best strategy on first visit. She did everything right and was very kind and approachable. Good stuff. I like a little harsher muscle touch. She will be perfect for my husband. We're coming back on Feb. 15 - with my hub - I would like him to have Ruth, she'll be perfect for him. I will try Kimmie. Thank you very, very much for giving me appointment at last minute. I will be a return customer. Thank you again. Overall, it was a positive experience.

She was very knowledgeable in answering some questions I had, and of course the massage was just what I needed!

Used just the right amount of pressure...and enjoyed having a conversation with her as she worked.
