I was an at-home/homeschool mom for almost 15 years when my only son went to high school. With plenty of time on my hands, I decided to take something I enjoy and use it to help others. My years of caregiving proved to be invaluable when I trained to become certified as a nursing assistant. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), I cared for the elderly in different settings and was inspired by a woman suffering from Parkinson's Disease to become a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT). In an attempt to help relieve some of the chronic pain this woman with Parkinson's Disease was experiencing, I began rubbing her right leg. It didn't take long before her symptoms began to subsided. At that very moment I realized just how helpful massage therapy would be for anyone needing a touch of well-being. As a person of modesty, I will fully respect your modesty and work with your level of comfort in the massage treatment room. I will insure that your dignity is upheld during the draping, undraping and re-draping of the areas I work on and thoroughly communicate with you during this process. Also, the amount of pressure used during the massage will be to the level you feel is appropriate for you. Whether it is your first massage or your hundredth, it is my goal that your massage experience be both safe and effective.
