Hello, and thank you for visiting my site.

I've been a massage therapist for over 20 years and love it!

I graduated from the Health Enrichment Center in Lapeer, Michigan, in June 1994, with a 1,000-hour certificate in massage therapy. This certificate includes training in a myriad of techniques including  trigger point therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, joint mobilization, active and passive stretching, range of motion, acupressure, reflexology, polarity and Touch for Health.  Swedish-style massage, which is what people generally consider to be a "classic" massage, is the basis of my sessions with various techniques utilized for each person's needs for that particular session.  I also practice Reiki (Level 1 & 2), a subtle energy technique which can provide powerful results.  While I do enjoy providing general relaxation sessions, most patients come in presenting specific issues.  Massage sessions are then tailored around those issues.

I had my first massage in New York City, after running the former "Legg's Mini Marathon".  It was a career and life-changing hour of bliss.  I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life helping people feel the way I did after that session.  The effect it had on my recovery from the race and the overall sense I well-being I maintained long after that session convinced me that massage is genuine way to benefit health ... on more than just the physical level.  I began researching massage schools and saving tuition money.  Two years later I was putting myself through school for the career of my life.  I'm fortunate not to have a "job"; I do work that I love and am honored to have the privilege of serving each of my clients, new and long-standing.  I'm grateful for the trust they put in me, and I strive to provide my best with each session.

If you have further questions about massage, and if you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact me.  If this is your first massage, please don't hesitate to call for more information on what to expect in your first session.  Enjoy your day, and say "Yes" to massage!
