The path to better health through massage therapy

I became a massage therapist to help my husband with some health issues  over 37 years ago.  I found out that i loved working with people to allow their bodies to heal.  To me there is nothing more rewarding than taking some pain out of the world instead of adding pain.

I became a massage therapist to help my husband with some health issues  over 37 years ago.  I found out that i loved working with people to allow their bodies to heal.  To me there is nothing more rewarding than taking some pain out of the world instead of adding pain.

I have had many different trainings through the years as i am always open to learning new ways to help my clients.  I have treated a lot of people whom medical professionals have given up on and told them they would be no better.  They all got better after treatments.  I do no healing.  That is for your body to do.  I know lots of techniques that help your body to do just that.

I do Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, PreNatal Massage, Crania Sacral, Foot Reflexology, Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Natural Force Healing, Lymphatic Drainage Massage and other modalities.  People come to me with chronic pain, swelling in tissues, cancer, fibromyalgia, stress, foot problems, and the list goes on.  A lot of times I combine massage with foot reflexology and/or energy work.  Several doctors have told their patients that they cannot explain why they are getting better, but to continue doing whatever they are doing.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral is very good therapy for people with headaches and also people who have movement issues such as stiffness in their bodies. It helps your body get the movement back in your body and if it is headaches it helps unblock flows that are aiding in the headaches . It is good for the entire body.

Pregnancy

When you are pregnant and your body begins to change, some of the changes can be uncomfortable and that is where massage comes in. The massage relaxes the tight muscles and helps your body to relieve the stress that is being put on it. Also, the baby feels the relaxation you are feeling and relaxes along with you. Mothers who have regular massages while pregnant report back to me that they have never had such happy and good babies. That makes being a new mother easier on her and the baby.

Lymphatic Drainage

Certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage Excellent for swelling from edema due to weight or due to surgical procedures such as massactemy or liposuction. Helps in healing the scar tissue so it doesn't build up or if it has built up it will help reduce it.

Foot Reflexology

Excellent for the entire body. Have been doing foot reflexology for over 40 years. it is excellent for headaches, for kidney problems, knee problems, etc. You can get a foot treatment and I can tell how your health is by what is sore on your feet. All nerves end in feet so you can work on different areas of the body through the feet.

Deep Tissue, Swedish, and Sports Massage

The type of massage is chosen because of the reason you are coming. If you have a sports injury, then i will work on the muscles associated with your sport. If you just need to relax and get stress out of your body, then swedish massage is what I do. Some injuries or pain issues require a deep massage to get underlying muscles loosened up. Then the massage may be painful for a few minutes, but the end result is worth it.

Feng Shui

Feng Shui is yin and yang. Balancing your life through your surroundings. Sometimes we have stress to how things are around us. We balance the home or office and our lives flow better If your health is good but things just aren't going good for you it might be that your environment around you is out of balance and that is affecting you.
