Movement is Key

I've been practicing massage therapy since 2011. The majority of my career I've worked alongside my mentor, Rod (owner of Ai Zen), who has helped my career flourish into what it is now. Through determination, perseverance and most importantly passion, I am striving to be the best father, husband and therapist I can be. I am able to help people in all walks of life by coming alongside you in your journey to help meet your goals. Or as we say at Ai Zen "Release Your Potential"

I love sports! I use to play lacrosse, wrestled and now just enjoy playing basketball or playing with my kids. In my down time, I draw, read the Bible and study a variety of books. It has always been a dream of mine to go to the Olympics, the goal now is to go with a team or athlete. In addition, I want to further my education in the medical field, acupuncture or orthopedic medicine are possible disciplines.

If we don't continue to grow, then what are we doing. Movement is key. We just need a focus.

Craniosacral Therapy

Using a soft touch, in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system. This therapy stems from osteopathy, which is an approach that emphasizes the role of the musculoskeletal system in health and disease.

Sports Massage

Thai Massage

Thai massage looks like a cross between acupressure, yoga , and zen shiatsu and is inspired by Buddhist teachings. The actual massage consists of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along the body's energy lines, concentrating on applying pressure along 10 of the most important sen, using the palms of the hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet. Positioning the body into yoga-like poses and gently rock the body to open the joints and facilitate limbering.

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is a sensitive spot of irritated muscle that produces a sensation of perceived discomfort. These tender points of muscle are a common cause of muscle pain

Cyriax Cross Fiber Friction

(The breakdown of type 1 &2 scar tissue) The body produces a protein called collagen to help aide in repair of tears from sprains and strains. Scar tissue starts producing around two weeks of the initial injury and is more pliable and easier to realign but after 3-4 weeks, the collagen starts to get thicker and less pliable. Making it more uncomfortable to breakdown. Scar tissue is typically found in tendons, ligaments and joint capsules and can be found in the viscera and muscle bellies as well. As collagen lays down it can cause adhesion of adjacent tissue adding more tension and pain. The purpose of this technique is breakdown scar tissue and realign the fibers to make it more functional and eliminate chronic pain.

Contemporary Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

This was an experience I did not expect. Today I am very sore and using heat and cold. I'm sorry I have to wait two weeks to come in again, but it may be for the best. I could still be sore in a week. Thanks.

Ernesto is like a master in his profession. He knows everything about what he is doing, always gives an amazingly detailed explanation of the muscles, ligaments, tendons that he works on and is always doing his best to get you feeling better. My health improves after every visit. I see him for my neck sprain after my car accident, my back pains after my fitness injury, and I am always improving afterward.
