I began my career in Information Technology. I first experienced the transformative power of massage therapy while working as a software developer and project manager at Texas A&M University. That experience led me to pursue my massage therapy training at Healing Handz Massage Academy in Bryan, Texas. I worked as a massage therapist in Bryan, and as a massage therapy volunteer with Hospice Brazos Valley, before moving to Maine in 2015.

I am a strong believer in the physical and emotional benefits of healing touch. I also understand first-hand how prolonged postural holding and repetitive activity can create pain and discomfort in the body. I apply my training in Aston® Techniques to identify and address patterns in posture and movement as a root cause of recurring body symptoms.

Wow! Alison not only took the time to understand my needs she worked on them while maintaining a calm peaceful approach. I’ve never had a repairing but relaxing massage. Her room is warm and holds a calming energy, I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend Alison!
