In May 2014, she started Jeevanaya Wellness with an aim and passion to bring Ayurveda to Barrie and surrounding areas. Ayurveda and Yoga being sister sciences, Anita saw the need to educate the community on this science which is known as the Mother of traditional medicine. Since then, she has given numerous workshops and talks at Georgian College, Yoga Studios and Health Food stores, on the subjects of Ayurveda.
Anita is also an RCRT (Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapist) from RAC. She combines her knowledge of Ayurveda and conventional school of Reflexology to treat her clients.
As a Yoga Teacher, Anita helps her clients with tailored packages, combining Ayurvedic treatments and Yoga postures to heal one’s mind, body and spirit. She follows her passion by giving consultations on Ayurvedic Wellness that includes lifestyle changes, diet changes and adopting meditation and yoga practices to manifest the best health. She teaches group and online classes too.
Anita is continuously working to expand her circle of wellness and bring like-minded, holistic practitioners at Jeevanaya Wellness Centre to work towards a happier and healthier community.
In her personal time, Anita likes to spend time with her children and husband. She likes to cook Ayurvedic foods and learn the effects of them on one’s body and soul. She continuous to study Ayurveda which, she says, is a vast subject to learn in just one life-time.
