Nathan Carrow

Massage allows me to help people on a daily basis

I became a massage therapist straight out of high school. I was trying various career options and found that I not only enjoyed attending school for massage but it also helped to make me more social by working with people in a stress free environment.

Outside of massage I'm a gamer, athlete, fire performer and a Kyani health distributor. I was born right here in Austin and I enjoy trying new things.

Notable Experiences

Bodywork
Chair Massage
I learned chair massage in 2003 and have worked various venues from business offices to outdoor events.
Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage is one of the first modalities I learned in 2003 and I incorporate it into my work for clients that like a stronger pressure and more than just a relaxing massage.
Myofascial Release
I learned myofascial release in my clinical massage training and I use it to slowly stretch the connective tissue between muscles that have built up tension and knots.
Reflexology
Reflexology was one of the first modalities I learned in 2003 and I incorporate it into my work for clients that need their feet worked as well as to loosen up other parts of the body by working the pressure points on the feet. I also incorporate reflexology with my hot stone massage and cupping.
Sports Massage
Sports massage was one of the first modalities I learned in 2003 and I incorporate it into my work for clients that need a lot of stretching and a deeper therapeutic touch. I also incorporate active/passive release therapy, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, deep tissue and reflexology into my sports massage.
Swedish
Swedish massage is one of the first modalities I learned in 2003 and I incorporate it into my work for clients that want to relax.
Trigger Point Therapy
I learned Trigger point therapy in my clinical massage training and I incorporate it into my work for clients that need pinpoint pressure applied to built up tension and knots worked out.
Pregnancy
Pre-natal massage is one of the first modalities I learned in 2003 and I have worked with more expectant mothers than I can remember.
Reiki
I have taken to Usui Reiki levels 1 and 2 and have worked with various people to help with emotional stress in their lives.
Craniosacral Therapy
I have taken craniosacral from the upledger institute and have completed Craniosacral levels 1 and 2 as well as SomatoEmotional release levels 1 and 2.
