My interest in Massage Therapy began several years ago when I injured my back. Thankfully, I have two good friends who are both Chiropractors. During my recovery from my injury, they helped me heal and even continue today as part of a wellness program to keep me from re-injuring myself. They both offered a very needed service with open hearts, kindness and compassion, which had a big impact on me. From that point, I began searching for ways that I could do something that would bring healing and wellness to others in a similar fashion: with love, acceptance, kindness, and compassion. I wanted to be able to help people. After talking with my wife and friends, and praying about what I should do, I was led to Massage Therapy. With Massage Therapy, I found a way I could make a difference in people’s lives in a healing and holistic way. My personality is that of an introvert, and I can only truly open up in one-on-one or small group situations, which lends itself well to Massage Therapy and the one-on-one connection that can be made with a client.
Through my studies of human anatomy and physiology, I am constantly amazed by the human body. It is a complex and marvelous machine at all levels, from the individual cell all the way up to the Olympic athlete performing feats that most of us can only dream of doing. Among the most fascinating things about the human body is its ability to heal itself. Many people define wellness as an approach to healthcare that emphasizes preventing illness and prolonging life, as opposed to emphasizing the treatment of diseases. Massage is a fantastic and effective aid for many people in promoting the body's natural self-healing and ongoing wellness.
In my experience working in the spa industry, I've found that to truly help many clients, the typical hour long massage just doesn't cut it. Because of this, all of my sessions are at least 90 minutes. This gives extra time for focusing on the trouble area(s) as well as time to relax. In my experience, clients leave these longer sessions feeling both appreciative of the extra attention to their needs and more fully relaxed.
My passion for Massage Therapy comes from the desire to help you achieve this wellness within your body and life. Whether your goal is general relaxation after a hard week, relief from pain, recovery from an injury, or simply ongoing wellness in your body and spirit, I would love to help. Pulling from techniques and principles found in Swedish, Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue, Thai, Sports, and Orthopedic massage, my goal is customize the massage session to your particular needs and to leave you feeling relaxed, whole and ready to conquer whatever life throws your way. Treat yourself or someone you love to something special today!
