Each massage I provide is a combination of deep tissue and Swedish relaxation. Swedish and deep tissue massage are two bodywork approaches that render very different benefits.

Swedish massage focuses on helping to relieve mental and physical tension and stimulating blood flow. Deep tissue massage has more specific concerns. Due to stress and other factors, the layer of connective tissue that covers and interpenetrates the body's muscle and bones often tenses up, resulting in muscle knots and painful buildup of lactic acid. Deep tissue massage aims to warm up that layer of connective tissue and release that buildup.

I also provide side lying prenatal massage which is a healthy way to reduce stress and promote allover wellness for mother and baby. Prenatal massage relieves many of the normal discomforts experienced, such as backaches, stiff neck, leg cramps and headaches. The ordinary aches and pains of pregnancy are countered by the release of serotonin, your body's natural anti-pain chemical, which is stimulated by massage.

Regular massage not only helps to diminish anxiety and discomfort but boosts relaxation as well. This can ultimately lead to improved sleep patterns.
