My name is Jacob Cain McRae and I currently study Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) along side Biomedicine at AOMA, Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. 

I found the methods and techniques in TCM to be very effective in healing some of my lifelong injuries and illnesses. After some time, I decided I would like to help others reclaim their body from trauma and injury in a similar manner. 

After completing my Tui Na internship at AOMA, I received my certification to practice Asian Bodywork Therapy from the AOBTA (American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia). I enjoy combining knowledge from Eastern and Western principles to maximize the efficacy of my healing, and I continuously research scientific advances, as well as global traditions. I am always learning surprising and powerful ways to heal the body, mind, and soul.

I have lived in Austin for about ten years now, and originally came here to study English and World History at the University of Texas. I acquired my B.A. and worked in roles as an information architect, publicist, shipment manager, accountant, editor and researcher. While those jobs were fun, healing has become my foremost passion.  

In my spare time, I enjoy making art, dancing, cultivating my taiji/ qi gong, trying new foods, studying philosophy and resting in nature.
