  • WHY Massage and why Structural work?
I was always in sports and music from an early age. I was a competitive rower in college at UT and later in my 20s. When I hit 30 just after I got into massage school, all of my MANY compensations said, "No more!".  That led me to get serious about learning structural bodywork techniques and getting the best work I could. I wanted to help those who wanted to stay pain free and active.

I attended the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in Austin and went straight through the 550 hour program before it was required for licensing. I take classes that seem to be a good fit for my massage practice and that are in line with my philosophy of a multi-pronged approach.  Start with the motor control center and then deal with the Muscles and fascia. CranioSacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Re-Education (Nemerov) and Myokinesthetic System Therapy, plus CORE Myofascial Release and some positional release techniques are my "go to" tools.

I specialize in realigning the body. When you take care of alignment issues, pain and symptoms seem to go away.  One of my clients said that he didn't know what to expect when he started with me, but now after a session, he just wants to explore the new limits of his body and STRETCH!

I  have an office in north central Austin, TX.  I have clients that come from as far away as Waco, and New Braunfels for "fix it" work.

My professional Organization memberships include:
ABMP - Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals
IAHE - International Alliance of Healthcare Educators, Medallion member.

In case anyone is interested - My hobbies include:
singing - pretty much anything but especially Broadway show tunes, choral music, and Jazz standards.
I am also an avid reader. I love to have a few different kinds of books going at any given time (professional info, fiction, history, personal development - yep I am one of those...)
