It's All Connected!

When I was 25 years old, I got my first massage.  That experience blew me away.  I began learning massage techniques soon after and practicing them on people in the customer service department where I worked.  One day Janeen, the supervisor on shift that day, pulled out a bottle and shook several pills into her hand.  I asked if she had a headache and if I could try to help.  After five minutes working on the sinus pressure points in the back of head, she put the pills back in the bottle, smiled, and thanked me.  I knew right away that this was for me.  It was then that I decided to go to massage school.

15 years ago, I studied Integrated Sports Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy alongside traditional Swedish techniques at ASHA School of Massage in Atlanta, Georgia.  I practiced Myofascial Release, Russian-style Medical Massage, and specialized stretching techniques for the first 8 years of my practice.  I really fashioned my own form of the techniques I was taught and practice a unique blend of my own creation.  I am currently becoming certified in two amazing gentle techniques that complement my skills, Visceral Manipulation and BioDynamic Craniosacral Therapy.

I love to geek out on the anatomy and structural parts of my work as well and tune in and deeply connect to my own intuition as well as the deep wisdom of my client's body.  It's a truly Connected experience!  Left brain meets right brain.  East meets West.  Logic meets intuition.

I work out of my home office in the Kirkwood neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia.  I live with my partner of 12 years and our 6 year old daughter.  I love to read to my daughter, ride bikes and play with her at the park.  I relish being in nature, hiking, and swimming.  I'm passionate about relieving chronic pain and educating folks about their own bodies.  In the cooler weather, I can most often be found knitting up something cozy to wear.

Massage changed my life.  Let it change yours.

I had neck and shoulder pain that had been bothering me for months. Physical therapy had not helped. My pain lessened after each session with Susan and I felt consistently pain free after our third session. Highly recommended.

I came to Susan for body work (presented with effects of a sedentary lifestyle, long covid, post-pandemic life stress). I had already experimented with a number of somatic and energy healing techniques, but felt there was a missing piece. And so my many efforts wore me thin instead of boosting my wellness. Susan's multi-disciplinary approach was attractive to me, and it proved immediately effective - I experienced tremendous physical relief in our first two sessions. Beyond that, Susan successfully introduced me to homeopathy - a gift of helping me feel truly well. With Susan's support and the tools she has given me, I have rediscovered my part and agency in healing and in supporting myself through various phases of a busy life. I hope more people find what I found!

Susan is a gifted healer. I have been receiving bodywork and massage for most of my life and I have not met a therapist like her. She’s grounded and intuitive. You will be grateful that you met her.
