A graduate of CUNY Queensborough Community College and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, I am a high energy massage therapist, with mastery in Swedish massage specializing in a variety of modalities including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy to breakdown adhesions and muscle tension, and stretching to relieve stress, tension and stiffness which aids in the general wellness and relaxation of my clients. I worked with Chiropractic Practice administering medical massage to accident patients for pain management and injury rehabilitation. I volunteered at Northwell Medical Center, where I provided therapeutic massage to cancer patients and chair massage to staff. Presently, I am the first Licensed Massage Therapist to be working as a volunteer at the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, St. Albans Campus, providing therapeutic massage to resident veterans who are mobile, wheelchair bound, demented, and in hospice and palliative care. Stress becomes locked as tension into the body, and is a deterrence to health and relaxation. My philosophy regarding my work is to let the art of massage therapy regenerate and revitalize the body, enhance immunity, create healing in each individual so as to bring about a balance in mind, body and spirit, generating an overall feeling of both mental and physical well-being.
