Rue Robin

"Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it” – Helen Keller

Rue is inspired by the transformative power of resiliency building. This work is founded on the principles of healing justice.  Healing work can be community building, each heart connected, working together, and the more support for self care we can get, the stronger we become.

Rue was born in the desert of Arizona, where the land teaches you to look before you step, otherwise you might get pricked by thorns.  Where the sky is so big and full of stars that possibilities feel endless. ...

Rue was born in the desert of Arizona, where the land teaches you to look before you step, otherwise you might get pricked by thorns.  Where the sky is so big and full of stars that possibilities feel endless.  Leaving home to Colorado then landing in Oakland, California to call a place home once again.  Oakland was the first place they felt the power of community-building.  Learning by living and making mistakes, discovering social justice, which is now the foundation of this work, and constant reminder of the personal responsibility of what it means to accountable for the part that we play in reinforcing oppressive systems, and how vital it is to create a new world where every-body can thrive.  Little did they know they would find another home in Asheville, North Carolina.  These mountains, which beckon healing, holding you close to unravel what ails you.  Each step in the journey, separate yet connected, to eventually land here, and hold healing space for you.
