Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2007, I was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Professional. I had worked for various agencies over the years and had a private practice most recently. For well over 20 years I had spent a LOT of time in my head. When I moved to North Carolina I wanted to take a step back, take my time, and reinvent myself. I have been an artist my whole life and took some time to explore my creativity while working a regular job with regular people. Being in the mountains and spending time freeing my creative spirit allowed me to recognize a desire to serve people in a different way. I decided to follow a calling to get out of my head and move into my body by going to massage school. I learned more about myself and my personal disconnect with my body than I had ever imagined possible. I would now serve others through affirmative bodywork while pursuing and spreading positive messages with my art.
