A Therapist since 1994 and 30 prior years as a RN, I have developed products and techniques to create an innovative massage modality offering less strain on the therapist and greater client results.  My greatest passion is  teaching.  I have been a frequent presenter at Medical, Community, Special Interest and Massage Events for the past 20 years.

Today I offer 15 - 30 minute Focused Pillossage Sessions. These are clothed sessions without using oils or creams and require no linens on the massage therapy table.  Sessions have the added bonus of teaching taking the client through a demo of how to continue using thermal therapy at home thereby continuing self-care.

Pillossage is a massage modality using Mother Earth Pillows as a tool to enhance and intensify therapy for clients in chronic pain and diverse conditions.  It is a slow, rhythmic technique that is dramatically different than traditional massage.  This technique allows therapy ranging from gentle relaxation to Deep Tissue Massage, moving the heated Mother Earth Pillow specifically to key compression points on the body.  One of the benefits is the option of using as a 'Modesty Massage', sports massage, or at public events as the client remains clothed and often the session can be accomplished in 5-10 minutes.  Take your table rather than your Massage Chair, and this drives more clients to your private practice!  These are just a few of the marketing therapy techniques you will learn in your class. 

Pillossage courses include theory, science and principles behind Thermal Therapy offered in 'hands-on' classes, teaching how to apply specific techniques using compression, MFR and stretching by working through heat. These methods can be offered to clients as a 60 minute Head-to-toe sequence or used as Focused Therapy for specific client conditions. Thermal therapy ranges from gentle to deep therapy without pain for your clients.  Self-Care approaches for the therapist and for client teaching is an additional class she teaches.

In addition to teaching Pillossage to MT's for Continuing Education, I offer classes ranging from training all staff at a Spa or Clinic including therapy techniques and product education to teaching staff in Special Needs settings, PT / OT staff, and Nurses / Staff in Hospitals, Pain Clinics and Hospices.
