  • What attracted you to a career in massage?
I have always been an advocate for good health and wellness. I love learning about the human body and how it works. In 2007 I started to learn about essential oils and how they can positively affect our health. I was intrigued. I learned how to do a technique with essential oils called the Raindrop Technique. I saw many people benefit greatly from receiving this treatment. At the same time they were asking about other areas of the body that hurt and they would ask me about knots in their back and if I could get them out. I wanted to learn more about how the human body worked and how these oils could benefit them. It was then I decided to attend massage therapy school to be able to help more of my clients.
  • Which school did you attend?
I attended The Fox Valley School of Massage in Appleton, Wisconsin.
  • What techniques do you specialize in? What issues or conditions does your work help improve?
I enjoy working with clients that have heath issues or pain. I offer multiple types of body work and other services to help alleviate their pain. I have successfully worked with clients that have suffered from car accidents and traumatic falls as well as other 'weekend warrior' types of pain and discomfort. I have medical training which greatly helps when working with clients. I have many times referred clients to their medical doctor to look specific areas of the body that were causing pain. For example, I have found cysts on multiple people that were the cause of their pain. When the cysts were removed, the pain was eliminated.
  • Where are you available to provide massage?
I currently own and operate A Journey Towards Wellness at 500 W. Franklin Street, Suite E in Appleton.
I provide monthly chair massage at Jansport (a division of VF Outdoor) in Appleton.
I provide chair massage 2-4 times per month at WPS (Arise) in De Pere.
  • What hobbies and other interests do you have?
I enjoy reading and learning, exercise, gardening and camping.
