Massage Therapy and Bodywork Program
At this full service spa I worked as a Massage Therapist. My experience ranged from full body relaxation massage to deep tissue massage in specific areas of injury or chronic pain. I also was trained to do Body Wraps and Exfoliating Body Scrubs to add to the guests pampering experience.
My experienced ranged from relaxation and pampering to therapeutic massages.
I worked at the chiropractic office for three years which mainly consisted of therapeutic or injury recovery massage. Clients' conditions ranged from general tightness due to stress to deep tissue to working on individuals that were in motor vehicle accidents. Working at the chiro office was the most rewarding place of employment due to the large amount of clientele that received massage therapy on a regular basis. Being able to feel the changes in the soft tissue over time and seeing the improvement in their quality of life confirms why I chose Massage Therapy as a career.
Each year I take Continuing Education hours of Continuing Education through Northwestern which have included concentrated training in common injuries and anatomy exploration of the low back, hip, neck, shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, wrist and hand, cancer and massage, nutrition, ethics, and stretching.
