Life is movement. Keep living, keep moving.

I've been practicing massage therapy since 2008. I've worked in a variety of settings including a Sports Medicine chiropractic office, a rehabilitative and performance enhancement office in NYC and an integrative wellness center in Brooklyn, NY. Since moving to the Triangle area in 2015, I've worked in the spa setting at Hand and Stone in Cary, and in a sports massage facility, All Sport Muscle Therapy, where I was introduced to Neuromuscular Reprogramming. I've worked with Olympic athletes, MLB pitchers, NYC marathon since 2009 and am currently a massage therapist for the USTA's tennis players at the US Open since 2015.
I bring a multi-modal approach to my sessions to enhance the quality of movement, whether one is a professional athlete, weekend warrior or one with a 9-5 job. We all have the same muscles and their respective functions and actions.
I include:
Neuromuscular reprogramming--Swedish massage--Myofascial release--Deep tissue--Orthopedic massage based on James Waslaski's work of capsular release (joint release).

I love what I do and have a passion to continue to learn and advance my profession. Through educating my clients on the intricacies of the complex systems of the human body I want to empower people to empower themselves so they can lead functional lives.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

Javier approached my issues with the intention of providing measurable improvement, and was effective. He commands a broad understanding of body function and listened to my feedback. He discussed roots of my pain/issue and suggested exercises I could do on my own to improve.

This is my second time visiting Javier. He's very knowledgeable about the body. The back and shoulder issues I've had are now gone thanks to Javier's intervention. Not only will Javier treat your symptoms, he will take the time to show you how your symptoms are the result of a dysfunction in the kinetic chain. He showed me a few exercises the both times I visited him and told me what to focus on in the gym to prevent the same injury from reoccurring.

Very professional, more for therapy than relaxation which is what I needed. Would recommend and return!

Javier was great, and worked on some issues that I've had for years. He gave me some stretches that I should work on my own, and I saw clear progress during the session. Hopefully the persistent problems will eventually get better/go away!
