Lauren Van Riper, Owner of Sage Massage and Bodywork, has been licensed for over 16 years in the field of massage and bodywork. She specializes in medical massage, Thai massage, deep tissue therapies and prenatal massage. Lauren received her national certification and license first in the state of Florida and moved to North Carolina in 2008. She is a graduate of the Florida College of Natural Health (2004). 


Lauren's intuition combined with her passion for healing and pain relief have made her an integral part of her client's rehab protocols. Her knowledge of anatomy and neuromuscular massage training have been said to be unparalleled. She is diligent in providing her client's with the best care to address their muscular skeletal needs.

Currently, she has been training in the field of Thai massage, and has brought this ancient modality into her practice to further her clients needs for healing and relaxation. Lauren traveled abroad to Chiang Mai, Thailand this year, and studied at The International School of Massage. 

Lauren is the mother of an 8 year old son who receives massage daily. She is an avid runner, and completed her last half marathon at Walt Disney World in February.

Lauren is an exceptional massage therapist. I refuse to go anywhere else. She knows the right pressure to use to remove all the knots in my back. I always walk out very relaxed. Look no further if you need a deep tissue massage.

The entire visit exceeded expectations. I went to my appointment for a muscle strain to be taken care of, but left with all my muscles and my posture improved. I’m always seeking a massage therapist with firm pressure and it usually ends up with the wind knocked out of me during sessions, but not this time. Can’t wait to go again for another session!
