My name is Bri, and I am the owner and operator of Full Body Alchemist. I am a graduate of the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy (AAIMT) and have been a Licensed Massage Therapist in SE Michigan since 2015.

The training I received from AAIMT included thorough anatomy and physiology studies, Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofacial Release, and Prenatal Massage. Since graduation, I have included Cupping Therapy to my list of certifications.

Though my focus as a therapist is typically towards the medical aspects of massage, by no means do I deter from giving my clients a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Each session is catered to a client's needs and concerns that they bring to my table that day.

Outside of massage therapy, I am a newlywed with a grade school aged daughter and two guinea pigs. I have been a seamstress for nearly 20 years with an affinity for costuming and almost pursued that as a career choice when I was younger. However, I am so thrilled to have found my path as a MT and hope to continue doing so for many years!

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is an alternative medicine therapy claimed to be useful for treating skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

Swedish

A Swedish massage is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long, gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But the benefits of Swedish massage go beyond relaxation. It can help increase the level of oxygen in the blood and improve circulation and flexibility. This is the basis of nearly all massage therapy and easily integrated with other techniques.

Neuromuscular

Neuromuscular massage therapy is a specialized form of manual massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in a muscle. Strain areas are called tender or trigger points, and they tend to be the cause of ongoing muscular pain symptoms.
