While at ECU she worked as a teacher’s assistant and tutor for Elmhurst Elementary and an After School Mentor for the ‘Growing up Fit’ program. Once she graduated she decided to incorporate her work with children and her degree by becoming the Assistant Program Director for CHANGE for Children at the Goldsboro YMCA.

While at ECU she realized the importance of massage. In 2008 she was given the opportunity to change her career path. Therefore, she attended Johnston Community College, completing the requirements for the Massage Therapy program. In 2009 she became licensed. Once she was introduced to Deep Tissue and Sports massage she knew she had found her niche.  She is continually learning to ensure that the Weekend Warrior, professional athletes and the everyday clients reap the many benefits that Massage Therapy has to offer.

Desiree is so knowledgeable. She has worked with me for years and has helped me through a locked neck, running tightness, foot pain and a thrown out back. Every time, she has listened and applied different approaches to make sure I get quick relief. I would definitely recommend.

Desiree has been so good for us for over 3 years now. We've had various issues including chiropractic issues, injuries, stress, and anxiety - all things that have been addressed by Desiree as we've explained them and she has responded directing her focus on our needs of the day. Both my husband and I are very happy recurring clients!
