I absolutely love the place where I was born, being here in Alaska feels like I am home.
It was here that I went to Alaska Career College, going back into school in the pursuit of my dream job: Massage Therapist.

In 2008 I graduated and received my professional licensing.

This passion started very young in my life, starting with me walking over my parents back and eventually moving on to rubbing shoulders, arms, and necks. It gave me a great deal of contentment and I really liked the fact that, through touch, I could help people to actually feel better. How thrilled I was when I found out that I could make, not just a job, out of Massage, but an entire career based around it!

This has not been an easy road by any means, but the fact remains that every day that I do massage, is never a bad day. I helped someone who was in need, and no matter what else that day might bring, that's will still fill me with the warmth of achievement.

To this end, I focus my attentions on those in pain. Those who have chronic pain, either from an old injury or from chronic over-use, repetitive motions, surgery, headaches, migraines, back aches, and so much more. I want to help people figure out what their pain really stems from, get them on a plan, and help them get to a better place in their lives.

For the past three years, I have finally devoted myself full time to my profession, and I intend to go on until I no longer can! I hope to see you on my table soon, let's take the journey together to end pain!

I have been having massage by Mel for a long time and always look forward to it (have it scheduled bi monthly). She changes her technique almost every time which is refreshing because it is always a little different. I would highly recommend Mel to anyone!
