My love for bodywork stems from my own chronic pain journey. After an accident at age 19 that left me with lasting back and neck pain well into my mid20's, I tried a regimen of multiple weekly massage that provided me with the relief I needed to end my dependence on opioids and other substances. Since then I continue to be surprised with what massage therapy and energetic work does for my pain relief.
Massage has also always been part of my culture, my grandmother practices traditional Pinoy healing including herbalism, massage, and midwifery (manghihilot). I do my best to continue this cultural and familial tradition by studying folk healing, herbal remedies, and acquiring as much education as is attainable. While I am not comfortable with calling myself Manghihilot yet, the journey continues.
I will do my best to provide your mind and body with what you need or send you to who I think will help you the best.
Let's learn together!
