Hello, my name is Megan Emig, a licensed massage therapist in the St. Louis area. I grew up participating in various sports including swimming which led to a scholarship opportunity to be a part of the swim team at Lindenwood University and in 2011 I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. I worked several years as a personal and group fitness trainer and in 2018 I graduated from The Healing Art Center’s 600 hour massage therapy program. During my education I got the opportunity to work with patients in the school’s cancer clinic, learned the form of energy healing known as Reiki, among other more familiar techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I have since then been working on expanding my knowledge of ways to facilitate healing the body with massage therapy through workshops in neuromuscular therapy. My passion in massage therapy is rooted in my own past of dealing with musculoskeletal issues and the more I work in this field, the more fascinating I find it that we are able to work with this system to overcome and reduce pain.
