Massage Practitioner Training
This is a certification for Trigger Point Therapy. I worked under the direction of a Trigger Point Therapist for five years before testing. While there are many therapists that do some trigger point work with their massages, there are a limited number of Certified Trigger Point Therapists in our state. The main way to resolve trigger points is to address the underlying conditions that cause and maintain them; mainly behavioral, environmental, and structural issues.
This is an 800 hour education that takes place over four years. Feldenkrais is a unique approach to the body where we are concerned mostly with what you would like to be able to do or feel better. Through awareness and movement, Feldenkrais changes how you move with your body and in the world.
In my massage practice I have studied and use: LomiLomi Swedish Myofascial Release Cranial Sacral
I am also certified to work in the mouth. This can help to address and resolve issues with headaches, jaw and face pain, as well as neck issues. It can also help with bruxism (grinding) and Temporal Mandibular Joint Disorder (TMJD).
