I've been practicing massage therapy since 2008. I've worked in a variety of settings including a Sports Medicine chiropractic office, a rehabilitative and performance enhancement office in NYC and an integrative wellness center in Brooklyn, NY. Since moving to the Triangle area in 2015, I've worked in the spa setting at Hand and Stone in Cary, and in a sports massage facility, All Sport Muscle Therapy, where I was introduced to Neuromuscular Reprogramming. I've worked with Olympic athletes, MLB pitchers, NYC marathon since 2009 and am currently a massage therapist for the USTA's tennis players at the US Open since 2015.
I bring a multi-modal approach to my sessions to enhance the quality of movement, whether one is a professional athlete, weekend warrior or one with a 9-5 job. We all have the same muscles and their respective functions and actions.
I include:
Neuromuscular reprogramming--Swedish massage--Myofascial release--Deep tissue--Orthopedic massage based on James Waslaski's work of capsular release (joint release).
I love what I do and have a passion to continue to learn and advance my profession. Through educating my clients on the intricacies of the complex systems of the human body I want to empower people to empower themselves so they can lead functional lives.
