Barbara has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 1999 and has pursued continuing education along many paths including Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Ayurvedic Massage, LomiLomi Hawaiian Massage and Spa therapies. Her practice primarily centers on Neuromuscular and therapeutic therapies for chronic pain and structural imbalances but includes many relaxation and rejuvenation therapies as well. Prior to her massage studies, Barbara earned a college degree concentrated in Mathematics and Business. She taught at Tallahassee Community College in Florida and has managed two other small businesses. Barbara has worked a clinical practice with several doctors’ in Texas and has demonstrated a passion and aptitude for therapeutic bodywork.

In 2002 Barbara founded Academy for the Healing Arts, a massage school in Southeast Texas. The school was closed due to 5 hurricanes in 3 years. She now enjoys teaching for her own Continuing Education and Advanced Training company, Barbara White Seminars. Her unique teaching style facilitates the learning and understanding of the materials and theory necessary to achieve excellence in the Massage Therapy and Bodywork fields.

Through these varied experiences, she is able to offer exceptional professionalism and training in all fields of study. Her belief in the power of bodywork as a tool for healing, wellness, and change is reflected in her teaching and clinical practice.

This was my second visit and very happy with results. I almost didn't go, but a friend insisted to a least try and thankfully I took their their advice and results were nothing short of amazing.

I've had pneumonia and a few other respiratory issues in the past few months. She was not aware; but guess what points on my feet were uncomfortable. The respiratory ones. After the first treatment my breathing has improved. I didn't think it would happen but it has.

She does a great job. After only two sessions my neck mobility has increased greatly. I addition I'm not experiencing the chronic neck pain and headaches that I've had for a long time. I would definitely recommend her to anyone with chronic pain issues. She also does a good job answering questions I have in words I understand.
