I weave together a blend of modalities which feel best suited to my client and

Integrative massage, as well as Myofascial Release, Shiatsu and more. I am

experience with prenatal and postpartum massage (I taught these classes at the
Boulder College of Massage Therapy for several years and worked on the Longmont
United Hospital’s BirthPlace Massage Team for 18 years). I have had the honor
of working with a wide variety of humans: pre- and post-surgical clients,
oncology patients, teens, elders, athletes, hospice patients, and folks who
simply wish to de-stress and re-connect.
I pivoted from a career in book publishing to massage therapy in 1996 after experiencing my first-ever treatment. After months of neck pain and stiffness, I tried massage. Within a 30-minute session, the therapist did effective work on my neck and upper back—but then she took some time to address my chronically tight calves. I sensed that somehow this lower-leg work brought additional relief to my neck, and for the rest of that day I honestly couldn’t stop smiling! Something extremely powerful and interesting was going on here, and I felt compelled to learn more. Within less than a year, I was enrolled at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy.
