Hi, my name is Leigha. I am a licensed massage therapist with 6 years of experience. I specialize in deep tissue, hot stone, Bowen therapy, cupping, relaxation, and sports massages. I have a bachelors degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin River Falls. I am Minnesota raised, but have lived in Wilmington since 2014. I studied massage therapy at Miller-Motte College in Wilmington. I began my career at Massage Envy in 2018 where I currently work part time as I continue to grow my personalized massage business, Waterside Wellness. I primarily provide massages in my home studio, but I also offer the convenience of in-home massage sessions for clients who seek comfort and relaxation in their own space. I believe regular massage maintenance is important in order to address potential problems before they become actual problems. Naturally, I provide a medium firm to deep pressure massages, but I can adjust pressures to meet any preference or need on assessment of a specific problem. I have experience in healing sciatic pain, arthritis-related and other forms of inflammation, sports injuries, muscle spasms, as well as other musculoskeletal pain. My goal is to enhance mobility, flexibility, and range of motion while alleviating pain to help my clients achieve optimal performance, wellness, and relaxation.
