Helping bodies in motion stay in motion.
My name is Joe Truesdell, and I’m the founder and licensed massage therapist behind True Recovery Massage Therapy. In order to treat athletes and active individuals, my approach combines neuromuscular trigger point therapy, deep tissue techniques, cupping, and assisted stretching to restore balance, relieve tension, and enhance performance. My goal is to help clients keep their bodies performing their best—so they can keep doing what they love (whether on the field, gym, or workplace). I believe that a body in motion stays in motion, and that consistent massage therapy can help people overcome the physical roadblocks that might otherwise slow them down.
Myofascial pain syndrome is muscular pain caused by trigger points in tight bands of muscle. It is one of the most common causes of bodily pain in everyday life. Trigger points can be formed by any number of causes, including repetitive muscle use, muscular injury, postural imbalances, stress, and more. My triggerpoint therapies target these concentrated areas of tension and apply direct pressure to them to help the muscle tissue soften and return to a state of homeostasis.
