Since 1997 - mitigating pain and improving quality of life, by Touching Health.

Since my initial certification in 1997, I have engaged in multiyear studies of

 - Myofacial release and trigger point therapies, a spectrum of techniques which utilize different depths of contact (pressure) to release pain and muscular stress with combinations of warming, stretching, breathing, and positionality for the release of toxicity and trauma.

- Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, a light/still touch technique that evokes a body's innate access to health and focuses on the rhythms of the cerebrospinal fluid around the brain and spinal cord.

- Temple style Lomi, a deeply nurturing and transformative practice which emphasizes long, encompassing movements for holistic body balancing.

- Trauma informed yoga and breathwork, a spectrum of instructional practices that help inform a client's experience on the table. They help build toolkits for the ongoing and comprehensive release of stress and freedom of movement.

These practices extend the body knowledge I obtained as a young ballet dancer and youthful yoga practitioner, the foundations of my movement-oriented, exploring techniques. Theatrical and production experience taught me how to create a safe space for the magic of transformation to happen, and a Masters of Public Administration has informed my offerings and efforts. At the massage table, I work with each client to build a space to suit their specific needs - always striving to mitigate pain and improve the overall quality of everyday life.

My work is trauma informed, centering on each individual. I specialize in nurturing chronic pain conditions including repetitive stress (carpal tunnel, back and shoulder pain, headaches including migraine and TMJ), tissue/chronic pain conditions (fibromyalgia, ehlers danos syndrome, neuropathy), and changes of life (family additions and losses, perimenopause and menopause complaints).

Additional techniques which I have studied throughout my career include: carpal tunnel therapy, prenatal massage, postnatal massage, geriatric massage, reiki, acupressure, Swedish massage, movement education, repetitive stress injury prevention/education, and chair massage.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

- I like to learn a considerable amount about each client's needs and expectations. Discretion, privacy, and your preferred level of modesty are respected.

- Temperature, light, and sound are adjusted to the best of my ability. Natural light, blackout curtains, and flexible music options are available.

- We work together to optimize the feeling of support for your body so that we can communicate more effectively. As we adjust external supports, your inner system and needs tend to be easier to sense.

- Each standard 90 minute session will get your area of complaint and the whole body addressed. The length of the session is designed to support the body's natural resting cycle, too - so you are more likely to greet the world less groggy but more peaceful.

- Packages of 3 sessions or more are available at a 10% discount, so that we are able to measure gains against incremental treatment plans, when indicated.
