I’ve known for a long time that I am a healer and look for ways to help people heal. I worked in mental health for approximately 15 years in various roles and enjoyed learning and helping others along the way. Then life took a turn for me and I went to massage school.
I entered the world of massage therapy to help individuals reduce or eliminate pain. Through the use of different massage modalities and techniques, massage therapy can aid in the reduction or elimination of musculoskeletal pain.
The massage modalities I employ the most include myofascial release, deep tissue, and trigger point therapy. These modalities focus on releasing muscular shortness and tightness and knots caused by injury, stress, and/or under- and over- use of muscles.
I believe that everyone and everything is connected through energy. We have chakras and meridian points, both are places your body’s energy flows through, that when are open and energy can flow, we are in good health. However, if the energy gets stopped or slowed down through these energy points, we become ill. During school, we were introduced to energy healing and I fell in love. So when the opportunity arose for me to train in reiki, I took the training and became a Reiki Master. Through energy life force, the Reiki Practitioner is able to stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities while you lay there relaxed and comfortable.
