Massage for Wellness: Treating the Whole Person
I am a graduate of the NCCC Massage Program of Saranac Lake, NY. Originally a nurse, I made the career change to massage therapy because I wanted to help my patients/clients in a different way than I was able to in the allopathic medical setting. It was a difficult decision, but one of the VERY best I've ever made! I love what I do, and my clients even say it shows in my work.
I would describe my massage style as very integrative. I am trained in Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, and sports massage, as well as reflexology and trigger point work. I also have attained advanced certification in prenatal massage, and have treasured my opportunities providing massage to hospice patients with mobile/traveling sessions, and oncology patients at hospitals. My medical training allows me to treat my clients not only effectively, but safely and ethically.
I have been practicing yoga since 2010, and attained my RYT 200 certification in 2019 through the Driftwood Yoga vinyasa teacher training program. I became certified in Usui Reiki Level II in 2021.
I look forward to working with those who value holistic wellness practices as a means of working toward & maintaining one's individual state of well being.
