Individualized massage sessions to help reduce pain, increase movement, and relieve the effects of stress on your body.

I have had a lifelong fascination with the way our physical bodies interact with our mental processes. Further, I believe that stress reduction leads to increased physical and mental health. My goal is to use massage to help you move better and feel better, leaving your session feeling released, invigorated, more balanced, and with less pain.

What to expect in a session with me:

We will do a brief intake to help optimize our session, discussing any pain issues, movement restrictions, desired pressure, and goals of the session...in general, how we can make the massage work best for you. Your massage may include a number of modalities to help meet your goals:

Swedish. Long, full strokes along the body’s fascial lines. I often use this to warm up the tissue and to finish after deep, specific work.

Deep Tissue. Working with increasing pressure into long-held areas of tension.

TuiNa. Uses the hand and forearm to roll over the tissue rather than glide. Also incorporates gentle rocking tapotement, joint movement, traction, stretching, and holding acupressure points.

Trigger Point. Specific work into hyper-irritable muscular contractions. Trigger points often refer to distant locations along neuromuscular lines.

Ortho-bionomy. Positioning the body to help it self-correct and release pain and/or immobility.

Cupping Therapy. Negative pressure (suction) to bring blood flow to constricted tissue. Both fire cups and silicone cups are options.

Anatomy Trains. Approaches and treats the body through its system of myofascial connections.

Hot Stones. Great for stress reduction and soothing of tight tissue.

Reiki. Working with your body’s energy to encourage healing and reduce anxiety.
