Everyone can benefit from massage therapy.
Seeking out this profession has been a very personal journey, one that started with pain. Someone I love was injured so severely that traditional western medicine could do nothing other than offer platitudes and prescriptions whose side effects were sometimes worse than the reason they were being administered.
Research can only do so much, and years later I found myself at a crossroads. I can go all in, deplete my entire savings, spend most evenings for 2 years inside dark classrooms with strangers learning about the body, the mind and their connection, hoping that, in the end, I will come out a more learned and intuitive healer. Or, I can keep walking the path I had been for years and do nothing about my loved one's pain, leaving it in the hands of doctors who may or may not have a personal interest in his wellbeing.
