Bodywork Therapist specializing in Myofascial Release & Trigger Point Therapy
Cottonwood, AZ
Hi, I’m Kolton Pearson—a licensed massage therapist with a focus on myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I’m passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies, whether they’re dealing with chronic pain, tension, or just the stress of everyday life.
My primary modalities—myofascial release and trigger point therapy—are powerful techniques that work together to address the root causes of muscular discomfort. Myofascial release targets the fascia, the thin but strong connective tissue that wraps around muscles and organs. When this tissue becomes restricted due to injury, stress, or overuse, it can cause stiffness, limited movement, and chronic pain. By gently and patiently working with these restrictions, I help restore fluidity and balance to the body.
Trigger point therapy complements this by focusing on hyperirritable points within the muscle—often referred to as "knots"—that can cause both localized pain and referred sensations elsewhere in the body. These points can form due to stress, repetitive motion, injury, or poor posture. By applying focused pressure and using techniques to release these points, I help reset muscle tone and reduce pain patterns.
Together, these modalities create a holistic approach: myofascial release opens and lengthens the tissue, while trigger point therapy zeroes in on specific areas of tension. This combination allows for deep, lasting relief and promotes better alignment, circulation, and overall function. My goal is to help your body move with greater ease and less pain—naturally, and without force.
I graduated from the Massage School of Sedona and couldn’t be more excited to be working with people here in Cottonwood. Before massage therapy, I took a winding path through tech, construction, and retail—each of which taught me something valuable. Construction especially gave me firsthand experience with physical strain and the kind of soreness that doesn’t go away on its own. That’s actually what led me here: wanting to understand how the body works, how to relieve that kind of pain, and how to help others find the same kind of relief I was looking for.
Massage therapy became a calling for me—something I was inspired to pursue by my mother and mentor. It’s a path that feels both personal and purposeful.
Everything I offer in my sessions is something I’ve had done to me. I work with intention and respect for the body’s natural healing process. If you're dealing with pain, tension, or simply want to feel more at ease in your body, I'm here to help.
Let’s work together to get you feeling better.
