Kairos Body Work is a space to receive bodywork/massage for therapeutic relief and relaxation--to recharge and refuel. The stress and tension our bodies carry aren't solely the result of individual traumas or injuries, but also gaslighting and violence that U.S. imperialism imposes on us.

Everything is political. Down to how we got the shoes on our feet to the unearned privilege of being able to offer this space to the community, which rests on stolen Native land.Constant threats to the bodies, minds, and hearts of colonized and oppressed peoples are threats to the whole of humanity. Just as the health of our fascia enables our body to allow consciousness to flow, or not, a restriction somewhere is a threat to the entire system.
Kairos is the gateway to therapeutic relationship and outcomes. Kairos– the right moment –occurs when several factors align: practitioner holds an energetic container while facilitating/re-educating the body during the session, client commits to their healing work on body/mind/spirit and is engaged in their healing process. When these factors are present and aligned, healing can occur.
Matthew Taylor, founder of Kairos Body Work, has been practicing massage therapy for over 10
years. Matthew's education in massage/bodywork began at S.O.H.M.A.R. (School of Holistic Massage and
Reflexology) in 2015. Since then, Matthew has dedicated himself to improving and elaborating
on Swedish massage techniques, therapeutic techniques --in particular Myofascial Release.
Kairos Body Work is a welcoming, safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community.
