Cristina Rolls, originally from Brazil, has served as a professional caregiver for over 20 years, as a nurse's assistant, she has worked with patients in hospital, nursing homes and private setting. In 1999, Cristina established the Massage Therapy Group in Columbia where her clients benefit from a variety of health promoting therapies. Her refined, confident touch and commitment to ongoing training and education have earned her an outstanding reputation in the Columbia massage community. I have always been fascinated with the human body, human behavior and what makes us be in the world the way that we are. As a Massage Practitioner and care giver, I have the opportunity to experience through my hands the affect that our emotions have in our muscles.It is fascinating to see how our emotions, thoughts and feelings affect our physical body. I believe that when designing a session, it is important to look at each individual person as a whole. I listen to their stories, study their bodies and have an idea what I need to do in the session but, also being mindful of each individual's expectation of the session to make sure that they receive what they need from the session. It is a beautiful dance that happens. It's like being a muscle whisperer. The client tells me what they need, I listen to their bodies and the body may be telling me a different story and that is where the dance happens; I like to think of it as a beautiful tango.
