Welcome to Christy’s Relaxation Massage! My name is Christy Cushard, I am a licensed massage therapist and physical therapist assistant trained in Swedish, myofascial, and trigger point release; as well as deep tissue massage. I individualize every session to meet the needs and expectations of each client to promote health and wellness, relaxation, and soft tissue healing. I have been working as a medical professional for many years downstate and am blessed to continue this work in northern Michigan.
I obtained my certification at the Ann Arbor School of Massage, have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona, and an associate's of Physical Therapist Assistant from Kellogg Community College. I have extra training in Kinesio-taping, CranialSacral Therapy, and injury prevention. Learning about new techniques and how best to promote healthy living and empower others to heal themselves is a passion of mine.
