At Breathing Room Massage, everything is designed with your comfort in mind, from the gentle lighting and cozy blankets to the quiet, unhurried pace of your session. This is your time to let the outside world fade and focus on what your body truly needs.
Whether you’re here to melt away tension, get relief from nagging aches, or simply take a deep, much-needed breath, every massage is tailored to you. I’ll check in about your goals, listen to your body’s cues, and adjust the pressure so you can fully relax. No gritting your teeth through “too much pressure” here.
When you leave, I want you to feel lighter, calmer, and more at home in your own skin.

POLICIES
Health & Safety
Breathing Room Massage asks that clients please call If they are feeling ill or have a fever. It is in both of our best interests to reschedule appointments in this case. Likewise, please understand if I ask to reschedule because I'm feeling ill. With some medical conditions massage/bodywork may not be advised. If a massage could be potentially harmful to a client, Breathing Room Massage reserves the right to decline to perform the massage.
Inclement Weather
Breathing Room Massage prioritizes the safety of clients and realizes there are emergency situations caused by inclement weather. Should this occur during a client's scheduled appointment, they will be contacted via phone call, text, or email to reschedule. I ask that clients contact me via text or email to reschedule as soon as possible, if they are unable to come in due to extreme weather.
Cancellations
I understand and respect the hectic schedules of clients. When given sufficient notice, appointments may be moved, or accommodations may be made. Please understand that operating hours are limited, and I am often booked in advance. There is no charge for cancellations received at least 24 hours in advance. If a client must cancel with less than 24 hours notice, they may be charged in full for the session.
No-Show
In the event that a client fails to show up for their appointment without giving notice they will be charged the full amount for the session. The card on file will be charged. Future appointments cannot be booked until the balance is paid. I reserve the right to refuse future services after a no call/show. No call/no showing two times will result in automatic firing of the client and future appointments will not be available.

DURING YOUR SESSION
Arrival
Clients are asked to please arrive for their appointments at the scheduled starting time. This allows for time to fill out or update intake forms and discuss the treatment plan for the session. In the event a client is running late, the service may be shortened in order to maintain the schedule, and the original treatment time may be charged.
NOTE: Most parking spots are at the front of the building, and the parking lot entrance is on Benson Rd. From the front door, my office is through the immediate left doorway, at the end of the hall, Suite #123.
There is a wheelchair-accessible parking space and ramp when using the lot entrance on St. Mary's Street. From the back door, my office is through the door at the end of the hallway, take the door on the right of the front lobby, at the end of the hall, Suite #123.
Payment
Breathing Room Massage accepts Cash, Credit Card, and Apple Pay. To create ease at check out and reduce no shows, a credit card on file is required to book an appointment. Credit cards will not be charged until after the session. Client's credit card information will remain confidentially stored. Prices are subject to change at any time. As of September 1, 2025, tips will no longer be accepted. We realize this policy is very much against the norm for service based jobs, but please understand: We are able to set our own rates, and supplemental income from tips is not needed. Please demonstrate your appreciation by leaving a review online or sending a referral and spreading the word about Breathing Room Massage Therapy. If you want to show your appreciation in a monetary way, feel free to prepay for your next massage session and you can guarantee you’ll receive a prized time slot. These things are truly helpful while honoring our boundaries as a business
As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) I follow a Code of Ethics, dictated by the State of North Carolina. All information clients provide, both written and verbal, will remain confidential. I treat clients ethically and fairly and establish an atmosphere of trust and respect during each session. I ask the same of my clients in return. I understand and recognize the effects of trauma, and want all my clients to feel physically, psychologically, and emotionally safe. As a LMT my goal is to assist clients in meeting their goals of relaxation, stress reduction, and pain management.
