I am a licensed massage therapist who recently moved to Charlottesville from Northern Virginia after spending 18 years supporting corporations in the IT, public safety and defense contracting arenas. Like many of my clients, I've spent thousands of hours commuting and working at a computer and am all too familiar with the aches and pains that plague most people who must sit through the majority of their day.
Although I've spent most of my professional career in marketing, proposal writing and operations management, my desire to work in the health and wellness industry has been a lifelong passion. My corporate work experience honed my ability to listen, collaborate, set goals and develop strategies to achieve those goals. But my desire to work within a profession that blends the science of anatomy and movement with the artistry and healing abilities of touch led me straight to a career in massage therapy. I've been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2013 and continue to fall in love with my job every day.
Though more well-known for my deep tissue work, I am highly skilled in the effective and ethical delivery of massage therapy including Swedish, trigger point, prenatal, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Lava Shell and structural bodywork techniques.
