Welcome to Bear Branch Bodyworks of Tennessee - located in Murfreesboro and specializing in tailoring each bodywork session to meet your personal goals. Bodywork sessions available include therapeutic massage, Acupressure, Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, private yoga instruction, breathing or meditation practice, basics of Ayurvedic health practices or wellness consults with a focus on uses of therapeutic essential oils. Achieving your wellness goals may include a combination of several different practices.
What is bodywork? Any of a number of therapeutic or simply relaxing practices or techniques for restoring health and balance to the entire person by working through the body. I use the term in a way that promotes health and well-being holistically: addressing body, mind and spirit through our physical body whether this is nutrition, exercise, stillness or receiving therapeutic massage.
My practice is named after the small stream called Bear Branch where I grew up on my family's farm. Since childhood the stream has been a place of peace, support and inspiration for me. This is my goal for each individual that I have the benefit to work with - I want my practice to be a place of peace, comfort and inspiration for you. The stream symbolizes the health of an individual - sometimes stagnant, sometimes flowing and healthy. There are many variables to homeostasis whether it be an ecosystem or the human body. I've seen the stream become stagnant during dry, summer days. I have seen the stream overflow during heavy rains. I have seen the stream perfectly balanced and sparkling in the middle of winter. Sometimes the stream needs assistance in returning to balance, as we all do from time to time.
