Amanda Slate, LMBT #15424, graduated from Kneaded Energy School of Massage in Greensboro, NC in 2014. She is known for her compassion and nurturing nature. She is a great listener and has a passion to help people. These traits combined with her desire to learn about the human body are what make Amanda an exceptional massage therapist. She has skill for being able to find the source of tension, oftentimes ones that clients were previously unaware of, assessing postural distortions, and using her skills to encourage the body's natural alignment.
Amanda's massage sessions are designed around the needs of the client, and can include Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and Condition Specific Therapy. Amanda has ongoing training in Myoskeletal Alignment Technique which relies heavily on strategic deep tissue and muscle activation techniques for posture correction and pain relief. Her training helps her better evaluate and address root causes rather than simply soothing symptoms. Treatments may include the use of hot stones, aromatherapy, table Thai stretches, lymphatic drainage techniques and cupping. Every session is charged by the amount of time on the table and there are no additional fees for the use of the additional tools used.
Amanda has two children that are her world. She decided to open up her practice in November 2021 in order to have a more flexible schedule so that she could be more supportive to the needs of her family. In her free time, Amanda enjoys gardening and learning about permaculture. She is currently writing a children's book. Her goal for 2022 is to get certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist.
