Massage is my passion!
From a young age I have always had something within me that wanted to bring about positivity and healing. This profession allows for both!
I work with the nervous system, especially for those with anxiety, PTSD, depression, ADHD and others who may have endured traumatic situations, making it hard for the muscles to feel safe enough to release. The body holds on to these traumas as a protective barrier and if they aren't handled with extreme care, they could potentially guard even harder with a well-meaning practitioner who may try to use sheer force to relieve the tension.
That's where trauma informed work comes in. It slowly helps you warm up to feel safe and supported while slowly allowing your muscles to relax enough to gain access.
