Healing Harbor Bodytherapy

Healing Harbor Bodytherapy was established in 2004 by massage therapist, Ron Gibbs, out of a desire to provide quality alternative body care for the people living in the remote community of Kodiak Island. With a strong commitment to meeting the individual needs of the clients he serves, Ron consistently upgrades his skills through off-island training and continuing education to ensure the latest techniques in body therapy are available to the people of Kodiak.  Drawing on the depth of his training  Ron is able to provide an integrated approach to treatment that incorporates assessment combined with application of advanced myofascial and structural bodywork techniques, neuromuscular and trigger point therapy, visceral and neural manipulation, orthopedic massage, pre- and perinatal pregnancy massage, as well as the Arvigo techniques of  Mayan Abdominal therapy. Treatment is available to aid in relieving pain associated with chronic conditions related to cervical pain or whiplash related trauma, back pain, carpal tunnel, frozen shoulder, temporal mandibular jaw pain, scar tissue and surgical adhesions, pelvic and hip restrictions, knee or ankle pain, and joint mobilization.

General relaxation massage, incorporating soothing long full body strokes and the use of heated stones gathered from Alaska's beaches is also available and can be combined with aromatherapy for a deeply healing treatment that soothes the body and the soul.
