I love being a Licensed Massage Therapist. I had a passion for the human sciences ever since I was young. I found my passion for massage within weeks of starting school, and knew that I had made the right choice. I believe we all have something we were meant to do, and with practice do well. I can safely say that I have found mine.
When I first started my massage career I made it a point to see as many other professional massage therapists for advice on techniques as I could. I was lucky enough to work along side numerous massage professionals that had worked with Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.
I have many areas of massage that I have years of experience with including but not limited to:
1. Relaxation/Swedish massage
2. Deep pressure/Deep Tissue massage
3. Prenatal massage
4. Geriatric massage
5. Stretching/Sports massage
6. Trigger Point Therapy/Neuromuscular work.
Here are some of the many different medical issues that I have helped clients reduce pain/discomfort with:
Fibromyalgia, multiple forms of Arthritis, chronic pain areas in general, Sciatic pain, reduced range of motion, reduce stiffness, chronic migraines (migraines are chemical so we can't completely get rid of them, however reducing the stress in the shoulders and neck can greatly reduce migraine triggers), Plantar Fasciitis , carpal tunnel pain, tennis elbow/golfers elbow, and massage can also help reduce feelings of anxiety and insomnia, and many more.
This is just a small list, but massage can be a therapeutic experience for both the mind and the body.
